P100 portable equipment health assessor

Pricing starts from £15,000

The technology behind the P100 has been recognised at the 2026 ABB Startup Challenge, where Faraday Predictive was named winner of the Motion High Power division for its sensorless, physics-based MBVI approach to non-invasive condition monitoring.

(Note: The P100 is not for continuous monitoring; data is only captured when it’s actively in use.)

Portable condition monitoring made easy with the Faraday P100

The P100 series of Portable Equipment Health Assessors are a great way to get a snapshot of the condition of your equipment.  You simply clip on the split core CTs and voltage connectors inside the motor starter cabinet, plug them into the unit, and in a few minutes the system generates an automated report on the condition of the equipment that you can email to whoever needs to know the information.

The kit contains all the parts you need – including current and voltage sensors, cables, and a rugged tablet PC

The system is easy to use and gives clear advice on the corrective action to be taken. It can be used on a huge range of types of rotating equipment, including most pumps, fans, compressors and conveyors, in fact most things powered by 3-phase AC motor. See how condition monitoring can suit your business.

Comprehensive generator monitoring with advanced reporting and analysis

The P100 kit works equally well on 3-phase electric generators too, whether the prime mover is a steam turbine, gas turbine, hydro turbine, wind turbine, diesel or other reciprocating engine.

Reports can be generated by the rugged tablet PC in Word format, allowing you to add any additional text, comments, or other edits, so you can capture specific features about the circumstances at the time of the test.

The tablet PC has a built in 8 Megapixel camera, allowing you to take photos of the test, and to paste these into the report, to create a comprehensive, professional looking report with ease.

The built-in software in the system allows you to see the shape of the raw voltage and current waveforms on all three phases, and to see spectral displays showing the harmonic content in each of the phases voltage and current. The system automatically identifies the causes of each signal in the spectrum, and provides detailed information on why this has been identified as the cause, its effect, and the recommended corrective action.

Summary dashboard: condition, faults, and energy efficiency

A summary page gives an overview of the condition of the equipment as a whole via a simple green-amber-red traffic light system, for the rotating equipment as it is now, and for each individual fault detected, as it is now and how it is predicted to be in one month and three months time, together with an assessment of the current quality of the electricity supply, also in green-amber-red form. Quantified statistics such as phase imbalance and harmonic distortion are also provided to back up the traffic light data.

The system also measures overall power, phase angle, power factor, real power and apparent power. It also assesses the likely amount of energy being wasted by any of the faults it detects, allowing you to carry out a quantified cost-benefit analysis to justify corrective action to reduce energy consumption.

The dashboard is accessible on both desktop and mobile, so engineers can review machine health and share reports from wherever they are, without needing to be at a desk or back at base.
